Noobie Foodie│The Pie Tin

YUMMY PIE <3

This is my first Restaurant Review on my new blog (I've ALWAYS wanted to do something like this)!! So a few days ago my friend suggest spontaneously to visit a little place in Newtown called The Pie Tin which I haven't been to in a very long time so I was very excited to go and try some more of their delicious pies. After all pies are one of the VERY few food items that are known as 'Australian'!

The Pie Tin ratings:
Location: ★★★☆☆
It's not extremely easy to get to because it's not close to the station but it is possible to get to Newtown via Bus on King St but just a quick note - traffic on King St can be veryyyy slow so its's actually good to just walk from the station.
Menu: ★★★☆☆
The Pie Tin has an amazing range of flavours on their menu but the availabilities of the items are subjected to change so it keeps things interesting! But the down side is if you came to find a specific pie (unless it's the classic Mince Pie) there are chances it might not be there!
Price: ★★★★☆
Definitely very affordable pies ranging from $5.8 - $7.8 and it's possible to get a meal with your pie by adding 2 sides and it'll cost around $11- $13 which for a meal in Australia is pretty reasonable!
Overall: ★★★★☆
The ambience is young and cheerful, the food is delicious and affordable! Service is friendly and very very very quick which is great for all those people who are so time poor! Definitely recommend this place for some delicious Pies especially if it's easy for you to get there!

Sicillian Style Chilli Lovers Sausage Pie ratings:
Taste: ★★★★☆
I decided to try something different this time and I choose the most interesting sounding pie with sides of leaves and coleslaw. The pastry was crispy and cooked to perfection once past the pastry the sausages are well marinated and the beans inside are great as a combination! Delicious as always!
Price: ★★★★☆
The meal was $11 which is quite reasonable for the amount and how filling the meal is!
Overall: ★★★★☆
It's something worth a try but I personally wouldn't actually get this pie again because I'm the greatest fan of sausages. Also there are SO many delicious alternatives that I cannot choose the same pie over again!
♥♥♥♥♥

The Oreo Pie ratings:
Taste: ★★★★☆
Oreos are GLORIOUS! In a rich, thick pie form it is literally PERFECTION! Absolutely adored this pie to the maximum! But the only down side is that it is very very sweet and the pie are very generously served so it can become a bit overbearing to actually finish an entire slice - sharing is caring it should be no problem! :)
Overall: ★★★★☆
I would definitely get this pie again -100% It was so delicious! I would recommend sharing it unless you have a powerful sweet tooth!

The Giant Apple Pie ratings:
Taste: ★★★☆☆
At this point in the meal my stomach was already filled and my taste buds were also too filled with the other pie's tastes. So in comparison the apple pie wasn't as sweet as the Oreo but it was fresher and had more dynamic texture.
Overall: ★★★☆☆
IT was HUGE and combined with the vanilla ice cream it makes a meal of the dessert! But the taste wasn't as satisfying as it could have been. As a group sharing mission it's definitely worthwhile
